Wow. I just got a call fromSusan, one of my regular customers, a massage therapist in Tacoma. She went yesterday to visit a friend of hers in the hospital in Puyallup. Her friend is dying of a brain tumor. Susan gave her friend a massage with our MSM cream, and soon had a group of nurses around her. She massaged several of the nurses and then gave massages to 8 or 9 of the end term cancer patients. Here is what she told me:

The nurses were amazed, and so thankful. These patients are on "full drip" mophine for pain, and still cannot find comfort. The MSM cream massage gave them comfort. When Susan went back to her friends room one 15 year old boy in a wheelchair came to find her. He said, "Are you the massage therapist?" Yes, she told him.

New kids are arriving, almost daily.

Come for a visit.

The turkeys have also been a big hit. I had no idea last year when I bought the turkey chicks that they would be such an attraction. They always come to the fence when someone comes to visit, and they are very talkative.

I caught this picture the other day of Tim and our friend Eric shooting the breeze in front of the store.

Massage Therapist/Hula dancer story

I just talked to one of my customers. She is a massage therapist in Seattle. She is very enthusiastic about our MSM cream. She sells it to her clients and uses it for herself. Update on serving the Seattle markets

We have had several calls from our customers in Seattle wishing that we were still delivering our milk and yogurt to the Whole Foods Stores, PCC and the Town and Country Stores. As you may know we had to give up serving those accounts this fall because Tim got hurt falling off of his horse! He is doing better but still not able to sleep lying down. For now we are turning the milk that would have gone to Seattle into cheese, but there is plenty of milk and yogurt available on the farm. Any one you who want to make the drive to Custer are welcome to come get the milk and yogurt from us. We don't know when we might be able to deliver milk to Seattle again.

Cheese went to the Farmers Market today

Today our fresh chevre and feta cheeses were available there and next month we will also have aged cheese at the market.

The cheeses are available for tasting at the farm, too.

The product they are using, of course, is the MSM cream. I get letters similar to this several times a week. Now I have been asking people if I can share them with you, here on the blog.

Some of you may know that my husband, Tim, fell off his horse about three weeks ago and cracked a rib. That injury has caused us to make some changes in our business. He couldn't do the work to take milk to the Seattle markets, so we decided to make cheese again. He has had to sleep in a reclining chair in the living room since he got hurt.

We bought this horse a few months ago and named him "Padre", short for Compadre. His former name was "Tornado". We should have paid attention to that! He is quite a spinner, that's why Tim fell off. But Tim is working with him and hopes to be able to ride again soon. Padre is a Peruvian Paso, and if you are a horse person who hasn't yet experienced a Peruvian, you will be in for a treat when you get the chance to ride one. They are the smoothest horses in the world!

MSM Cream at the Fairs

The Fairs went very well this summer and fall. I was on a marathon, though. I did the three fairs by myself.

Northwest Washington Fair in Lynden

Evergreen State Fair in Monroe

Puyallup Fair in Puyallup

Tim did come and give me some relief on the weekends, but he had to run the farm during the week.

I also had a great lady, Stacy, making MSM cream for me here in the production area while I was gone. I would not have been able to do the Fairs without her.

Things went well, though, and I got to see lots of little miracles as people discovered our MSM cream. It was also great fun to have last year's customers coming back and telling me their stories. Some of those people didn't recognize me though. I had cut and colored my hair and lost twenty pounds!

Those twenty pounds were a challenge to keep off with all the Fair food temptations around me, but I made it.
